André Devambez (1867-1944) was a French painter and illustrator, trained at the École des beaux-arts in Paris. He is known for his scenes of Parisian life, often seen from above, such as The Charge (1902-1903) or Place Pigalle (1906). He also illustrated many books and magazines.
