Works by Bertalan Székely (1835-1910), in the public domain, each linked to its record in the museum that holds it. His large paintings of Hungarian history, the discovery of the body of King Louis II after the defeat of Mohács (1526) and the defence of the fortress of Eger by its women against the Ottoman army (1552), are in the Hungarian National Gallery in Budapest, which holds most of his work. The Hungarian National Gallery does not place its own photographs in the public domain: the images are those of Wikimedia Commons, public domain reproductions or photographs taken in the museum's galleries under a free licence, whose author is named on the page of the work. The titles are those of the museums, with their translation.
