Eugenio Lucas Velázquez (1817-1870) was a Spanish painter, born and died in Madrid. An heir to Goya, he was one of the most prolific Romantic painters of Madrid: village bullfights, processions, majas, witches, scenes of the Inquisition or of storms, in a quick, dark touch. He was the father of the painter Eugenio Lucas Villaamil.
