Works by Luca Giordano (1634-1705), in the public domain, each linked to its record in the museum that holds it. Born in Naples, a pupil of Ribera and then nourished by Pietro da Cortona and the Venetians, Giordano worked with a speed that earned him the nickname “Luca Fa Presto”; he painted in Naples, in Florence, then in Madrid, at the court of Charles II of Spain (1692-1702). Only works that the museums attribute to him without reservation, and of which a freely reusable photograph exists, are included: public-domain photographs or photographs under a free licence from Wikimedia Commons, whose origin is given on the page of the work. The titles are those of the museums, with their translation.
