Lucien Simon (1861-1945) was a French painter, born in Paris and died in Combrit (Finistère). A member of the group known as the Bande noire, he painted above all the Bigouden country of Brittany: wrestlers, processions, fairs and harbor scenes, as well as family and group portraits. His paintings are held in Quimper, Paris, Ghent, Oslo, Stockholm and Russia. He is linked to Post-Impressionism.
