Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta (1841-1920) was a Spanish painter, the son of the painter Federico de Madrazo, born in Rome and died in Versailles. He settled in Paris at a very young age and painted most of his work there: portraits, genre scenes and ball scenes. Aline Masson, the doorman's daughter at the Paris residence of the Marquis de Casa Riera, became his favourite model.
